ZN40-series bearings are corrosion-resistant, zinc-coated, machined steel cartridge bearings designed to increase the longevity of your headset.
ZN40-series bearings feature hardened steel balls and are compatible with 110-, 40-, and 10-series headsets.
All Cane Creek headset bearings are durable, sealed cartridge bearings, and these are interchangeable between headset series. Simply match the bearing size and drop in the new bearing.
Cane Creek cannot guarantee compatibility with these bearings in a different manufacturer’s headset. These bearings are precision engineered by Cane Creek in Fletcher, NC.
The ZN40 bearings (used in all Forty Series headsets) can feel rough in hand initially. This is a necessary side effect of the corrosion-resistant zinc coating used on the balls and races. This initial roughness wears in, becoming smoother with use, and extends the overall lifespan of the bearings.
