The S-Works Prevail II is the most complete lightweight race helmet Specialized has ever made, perfect for hot, mountainous rides and flat, windy sections alike. Specialized teamed up with MIPS researchers to introduce MIPS SL, an ultra-light and supremely comfortable version of MIPS available exclusively on Specialized helmets.
MIPS SL integrates MIPS technology within the helmet padding itself. Its minimalist "watchband" attachment system provides 10 to 15 millimetres of rotation in every direction, offering the same brain protection benefits as other versions of MIPS while ushering in a new level of comfort and weight savings. The helmet's design proves that big ideas can come in smaller packages.
The patented EPS construction relies on multi-density foam paired with a robotically woven, Aramid-reinforced skeleton. This results in a reduction in the overall size, creating a smaller profile that fits lower down on the head for a better fit and safety. Deep internal channels are aligned from front-to-rear, optimizing air intake and exhaust for unparalleled cooling over the entire head. In the Win Tunnel, these new designs amounted to six seconds saved over 40km when compared to a standard road helmet.
The Gutter Action System manages the flow of sweat, keeping it away from your eyes and dripping it off of the pads over your temple.
