P ZERO Race 4S is the successor of the famous P ZERO Velo 4S: a further evolution of Pirelli's best-selling all-season tire.
The SmartEVO Compound enhances performance on wet and cold tarmac, while the TechBELT construction continues to provide the handling and racing feeling that made the P ZERO family famous all over the world. A slightly thicker tread improves the mileage of the tire, making it the ideal solution to cycle in every season without giving up on its racing soul.
The SmartEVO compound is Pirelli's best chemical formulation for all-round road use, whether it means racing or high intensity and long distance leisure riding. It is born from the large Motorsport experience of Pirelli and the collaboration with the factory World Tour teams and it features a single-compound formulation based on three different polymers, each of which provides opposite performances in a perfect blend of grip, speed and reliability. The advanced mixture of polymers with 'smart' behaviors are the key elements of the SmartEVO compound, providing grip in any weather condition and very low rolling resistance in a package made to sustain also high mileage and rougher road surfaces. It is a high-performance chemical formulation developed for modern road cycling, from everyday riding to racing, even at World Tour level.
The TechBELT road structure features 120, 60, or 26 TPI, enhanced by a puncture-resistant nylon reinforcement layer beneath the tread, making it an extremely reliable setup capable of ensuring high levels of comfort for any type of use, from racing (120 TPI) to daily commuting (26 TPI).
