Kenda Kwick Trax (700c)

The Kwick Trax is Kenda's commuting-specific tire. The continuous center ridge holds its speed and helps make pedaling easy, while numerous side grooves and water sipes give you grip on smooth asphalt, rough pavement and on rainy days. All models have reflective sidewalls for low-light visibility. And, Kenda's Iron Cap is a layer of material that runs from bead to bead under the tread to prevent flats for added piece of mind. You'll get to work quickly and safely with the Kwick Trax.

    Comments:

Good tire for the price. Quiet, rolls smoothly and the reflective side wall makes the tires easily seen at night. I have had three tubes replaced due to rim pinching due to flexing of the sidewall. Estimated milage 200o miles Tire, however, does not handle El Paso Texas well.Rolling down the hills, especially Mesa street I can achieve up to 30MPH on my Raliegh Detour Deluxe dinasaur bicycle. If I let the tire roll that fast the sidewall pinches against the rim, fails, and destroys the tube. The traction can be improved in wet weather as well. I admit this is extraordinary use, but I live up in the mountains and this is the elements I face every day. It is not an all terrain tire. The tire wears rather fast as well. I have noticed, that El Paso being thorn capital of the world, that I have no related punctures due to thorns which is remarkable. Given, the high speeds achieved going down the hills are unusual, however; and dependent upon where one lives this tires is not designed for the long haul. My rear tire thread is worn out and I have had my bicycle not more than a year.
